Authorship and contribution policy
-
The first author or coordinator must be an academic from this institution, since the proposals must be the result of research projects registered with the uabc , or who participated in external calls with the support of this university.
-
It is the responsibility of the authors to define the level of authorship of the participants, which should reflect the degree of contribution and responsibility in the project: the greater the contribution and effort, the higher the hierarchy.
-
Generally, our calls include two roles: authors and coordinators / as (maximum two). The roles of first and second coordinator should only be included when some of the participants have carried out the tasks that such names entail, such as: integrating the contributions of the participating authors and giving structure to the proposal, as well as elaborate an introduction that places the contributions of the work in the context of the discipline (s) to which it corresponds, and defining the perspective of the work when necessary for its better understanding. To be the coordinator of a work, it is not enough to gather the contributions and deliver them integrated to participate in this call.
-
In all proposals, a responsible author must be registered, who will be in charge of answering any questions or management related to the proposal. The only requirement is to be academic of the uabc ( It can be the first coordinator or the first author or another participant).
-
In collective works up to eight scholars can collaborate, including two coordinators: up to 50% authors / external as (specialists from other institutions or graduates of the uabc) and up to 30% of graduate students from the uabc. If both external and graduate students participate, the proportions indicated must be respected and 50% of the authors must be made academics from the uabc.
-
Unless a specific call establishes otherwise, in disclosure book proposals One or two authors can participate (the collaboration of a designer or illustrator is considered additional). It is preferable that at least one of the authors has collaborated in the research project whose results are given to know; Otherwise, the proposal must have the endorsement of the person in charge of the project.
